EU, Ethiopia Sign €90m Reform Deal

Ethiopia and the European Union signed a €90 million financing agreement for the 2025 Annual Action Plan, targeting economic reform, post-conflict recovery, and green growth. State Minister Semereta Sewasew and EU Ambassador Sofie From-Emmesberger signed the deal, which supports Ethiopia’s Homegrown Economic Reform Agenda and Green Legacy Initiative under the Team Europe framework. The partners also launched a Public-Private Dialogue to remove investment barriers, improve business cooperation, and strengthen Ethiopia’s investment climate.
