Algeria created an Algerian-Italian center of excellence for agricultural training, research, and innovation with a regional African focus. Named “Enrico Mattei”, the center was established by presidential decree and will be based in Sidi Bel Abbes. It was designed to support practical training, applied research, agricultural productivity, resource management, and regional cooperation, with funding from Algerian, Italian, and potential international contributions.
