Tunisia received Chinese-donated equipment to prepare and improve the Ben Arous archaeological site under a Tunisian-Chinese cooperation agreement. The donation included materials for visitor routes, guidance panels and site presentation, according to Tunisia’s national heritage institute. Officials said the aid formed part of a second cooperation phase following earlier joint work involving geophysical surveys, excavations, identifying site components and preparation of the site for public visits.
