Governor Natembeya Attacked in a Rally

Kenya’s Trans Nzoia Governor, George Natembeya, said his convoy was attacked while campaigning for an MCA candidate in Kabuchai, alleging the violence was linked to political rivals. He claimed gunfire was directed at his vehicle and also reported damage to the home of Kabuchai MP Majimbo Kalasinga. Natembeya accused National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula of involvement, an allegation Wetangula has not publicly addressed. DAP-K condemned the incident and urged electoral and security agencies to investigate.
