Peter Brooks, a US-based Paramount Pictures executive, returned to Kampala with a 10-member delegation for a coffee purchase deal and wider commodity partnerships with Ugandan producers. The visit follows outreach by the Office of the President’s Diaspora Affairs and aligns with President Museveni’s push for diaspora-driven trade. Brooks plans a coffee consignment and is assessing shea butter, cocoa, chia seeds, and vanilla. Officials say the effort supports Uganda’s expanding export sector and deeper diaspora engagement.
