Qatar Charity Launches Training Centre

Qatar Charity and Mogadishu University laid the foundation stone for the Sheikh Eid bin Mohammed Al Thani Centre for Vocational Training and Innovation in Mogadishu. The 7,000 sq m facility will train about 500 young men and women each year in technical, vocational and entrepreneurship skills. Officials said the project aims to address high youth unemployment and builds on a long partnership that has supported more than 3,600 university scholarships since 1997.
