Cargo and passenger ship MV Mwanza completed trial voyages between Mwanza Port and Bukoba, Uganda. It carries 1,200 passengers, 400 tons of cargo, 20 small vehicles, and three lorries. Built for 126 billion shillings, the vessel will operate on Lake Victoria, connecting Mwanza, Bukoba, and Uganda, and boosting regional trade as a faster alternative to road transport.
