Ethio Telecom Grows National EV Network

Ethio Telecom expanded its electric-vehicle charging network by opening a new super-fast station in Addis Ababa, adding 16 high-capacity chargers to its portfolio. CEO Frehiwot Tamru said the rollout strengthens the company’s national infrastructure and supports rising demand for commercial EV-charging services. The AI-enabled system targets compatibility gaps in the local market. Ethio Telecom’s three stations now serve up to 48 vehicles, complementing earlier sites that have delivered more than 165,000 paid charging sessions.
