Uganda Police Warn Against Attacks

The Uganda Police warned political actors and supporters not to provoke or attack security personnel after multiple nationwide incidents. They called the attacks deliberate provocations and said they will not tolerate further aggression toward officers. At a campaign rally in Gulu, presidential candidate Bobi Wine and his supporters were attacked. Wine was struck in the face with a cane, and several others required hospital treatment.
