NovFeed Tops Africa’s Business Heroes

Tanzania-based biotech firm NovFeed won the top prize at the seventh Africa’s Business Heroes awards, with its founder, Diana Orembe, emerging first among 10 finalists chosen from 32,000 applicants across the continent’s 54 countries. Organized by the Jack Ma Foundation with Alibaba Philanthropy, the competition awarded NovFeed US$300,000 in grant funding, while the remaining finalists shared US$1.2 million to support start-up growth across Africa.
