Ethiopia’s shift to digital trading systems is delivering measurable commercial gains, according to Trade and Regional Integration Minister Kasahun Goffe. Export contracts and licensing have moved fully online, while platforms such as Zemen Gebeya recorded over 53 million Birr in teff transactions within one month. Digital reforms in livestock markets have reduced intermediaries and lifted export revenues, with livestock exports generating more than $30M in the current fiscal year.
