Oparanya Open to Leaving ODM for Unity

Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Cooperatives and MSMEs, Wycliffe Oparanya, said he is ready to leave the Orange Democratic Movement if it helps unite the Western region. Speaking at the funeral of the late Cyrus Jirongo, Oparanya said regional unity would strengthen political influence ahead of 2027. Several leaders, including former President Uhuru Kenyatta, echoed calls for cohesion to shape future national leadership.
