M-Pesa is partnering with Abu Dhabi’s ADI Foundation to integrate blockchain technology into its platform. The rollout will deploy regulatory-compliant blockchain infrastructure across eight African countries. It will enable faster cross-border transactions, stablecoin use, and secure digital payments. The system will work within existing mobile money frameworks while supporting interoperability, digital identity tools, and next-generation financial technologies without disrupting compliance, consumer protection, or platform security.
