Agricultural Exports Fall

Between May and June 2025, Kenya’s key agricultural exports declined sharply. Coffee exports fell from 7,400 to 4,600 metric tonnes, with earnings dropping from KSh 7.4 billion to KSh 4.5 billion during the Nairobi Coffee Exchange’s June recess. Flower and vegetable exports also fell, affected by EU market rules and lower production. Tea exports dropped 12.05% in the first half of 2025, contributing to a 3.06% overall export decline and widening the trade deficit.
