Airtel Africa Foundation launched the Tech Fellowship in Uganda to support 20 undergraduates from low-income households pursuing STEM degrees. The program covers tuition, accommodation, academic materials, and a stipend, targeting first-year students in fields including IT, computer science, software engineering, data science, AI, and cybersecurity. Partnering with universities such as Makerere and Kyambogo, Airtel aims to close the digital skills gap, nurture future tech leaders, and align with Uganda’s Digital Vision 2040.
