Algeria launched a nationwide operation to collect hides from Eid al-Adha sacrifices under a campaign led by the Ministry of Industry. The initiative aimed to support local resources, promote circular economy practices, strengthen national industry, and reduce imports. Authorities said several partners took part in collection, transport, and processing operations, including GETEX, local authorities, technical services, associations, field collection teams, and landfill centers across the country.
