Algeria Eyes AI Leadership

The New Lines Institute said Algeria is positioned to lead artificial intelligence in North Africa, citing its Digital Algeria 2030 strategy, strong technical education base and diversified partnerships. The report estimated Algeria’s AI market at $500 million in 2025 and projected $1.7 billion by 2030. It highlighted 57,000 AI students, 74 master’s programs, plans to train 500,000 ICT specialists and cooperation with China, Italy and the United States to strengthen technological sovereignty.
