Egypt’s electricity demand rose to about 36,000 MW during the Eid holiday period as authorities worked to maintain stable power supplies amid higher consumption. Electricity Minister Mahmoud Esmat reviewed emergency operating plans and grid coordination at the National Energy Control Center. Officials also expanded the use of renewable energy and battery storage systems as part of efforts to reduce fuel consumption, improve efficiency, and strengthen the reliability of Egypt’s national electricity network.
