Ethiopia reaffirmed its strong commitment to supporting peace and stability in South Sudan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said. Foreign Minister Gedion Timothewos met a South Sudanese delegation led by Minister Pieng Deng Kuol in Addis Ababa. Discussions focused on the Abyei region and strengthening cooperation in infrastructure development. Gedion thanked President Salva Kiir for attending the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) inauguration and emphasized regional integration through enhanced connectivity between Ethiopia and South Sudan.
