Ethiopia Ratifies Revised Election Law

Ethiopia’s House of People’s Representatives ratified a revised election proclamation covering political party registration and election ethics. Lawmakers said the amendments address concerns raised by parties and support preparations for the seventh General Election. The House also approved financing agreements with the International Development Association for clean energy expansion and a regional skills program. Draft extradition and mutual legal assistance agreements with China, Brazil, and South Africa were referred for further review.
