Ethiopia’s G20 Role Boosts Influence

Ethiopia’s Institute of Foreign Affairs said the country’s participation in the G20 summit demonstrated its growing diplomatic influence and capacity to engage major economies. Executive Director Jafar Bedru noted that Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed held productive bilateral meetings and highlighted Ethiopia’s progress in sectors including agriculture, manufacturing, urban development, and digitalization. He said Ethiopia is shaping Africa’s development agenda at global forums, adding that recent BRICS membership further strengthens its international standing.
