Huawei to Build Digital R&D Center

Chinese multinational Huawei has announced plans to build a research and development (R&D) center in Angola by 2027. During a meeting with Angolan President João Lourenço, Huawei’s director general for Portuguese-speaking countries, António Hou, said: “The objective is to strengthen digital inclusion and accelerate the development of strategic sectors such as education, health and connectivity, by promoting equitable access to new technologies”.
