Koysha Dam Hits 70% Completion Mark
Ethiopia’s Council of Ministers launched a 100-day macroeconomic review with a visit to the Koysha Hydropower Project, now 70% complete. Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed said the KSh1.2 billion facility demonstrates progress toward energy self-sufficiency and export potential. Located in the Southwest Ethiopia People’s Region, Koysha will be the country’s second-largest dam after GERD, generating clean energy to drive industrial growth. The project also supports local employment, infrastructure expansion, and renewable investment opportunities.
