Opposition Alleges IEBC Bias in Polls

Kenya’s opposition leaders accused the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission of bias and vowed to challenge the results from the Mbeere North and Malava by-elections. Speaking at a burial ceremony in Murang’a County, they claimed the polls lacked transparency and alleged close ties between the commission and the government. The opposition said it will pursue legal action and warned that electoral credibility ahead of the 2027 General Election is at risk.
