Parliament Approves 2024 Report

Somalia’s bicameral parliament approved the 2024 budget execution report during a joint session chaired by Lower House Speaker Adan Mohamed Nur. The finance committee said both chambers reviewed the document in detail before the vote, which saw 167 MPs in favor, two against, and one abstention. Closing the session, Speaker Madoobe said parliament will focus on completing the provisional constitution, describing it as a central legislative priority for the current parliamentary term.
