Tanzania expanded tourism promotion in the Asia-Pacific region to diversify source markets and increase arrivals. Tourist numbers reached 2.14 million in 2024, generating $3.9 billion in revenue. Visitors from China rose 56.5% to over 71,000, aided by campaigns such as the film Amazing Tanzania. Tourism operators also targeted markets including Singapore, Malaysia, and Australia, building on gains from regional outbound travel.
