UMA Outlines Green Industry Plan

Dr. Ezra Rubanda, Executive Director of the Uganda Manufacturers Association (UMA), outlined the association’s Green Industry Agenda on NBS TV’s “Spotlight UG.” UMA promotes sustainable industry through innovation in plastic recycling, consumer education on proper disposal, producer responsibility to phase out non-recyclable materials, and youth engagement at trade fairs. Dr. Rubanda emphasized collaboration with regulators like NEMA and predicted that plastic disposal practices will significantly improve within five years.
