Although the US offered $13.5m in aid, Kenya’s High Court suspended the plan following public backlash over health risks. Hundreds of Kenyans have since protested in Nanyuki, demanding the project be permanently canceled. Kenya has no current Ebola cases and is seeking broader international access.
