Zambia will receive a new five-year, USD 1.5 billion US health grant beginning in 2026 to advance HIV, malaria, and tuberculosis programs and strengthen surveillance and maternal and child health services. Officials say the pact aims to shift Zambia toward a more self-sustaining health system while preserving lab, data, and staffing gains built over two decades of US support. Zambia has previously received nearly USD 7 billion in US health funding.
