Ugandan artists and cultural groups debuted at Riyadh Season 2025, staging Uganda Days at Al Suwaidi Park under the Global Harmony Festival. The two-day showcase featured a 25-artist lineup, folk dances, music, crafts, and cuisine, including coffee. Organized by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Media with the General Entertainment Authority, the events drew multinational visitors and promoted Uganda’s culture, tourism, and trade as the first sub-Saharan African participant.
King Phillip Rauni Olarker III presided over the three-day Alur Cultural Gala in Arua City, bringing together communities from across the West Nile region. The event at OPM Grounds featured cultural exhibitions, performances, tourism showcases, and market displays. Organized to promote Alur heritage and regional cultural exchange, the gala included participation from other West Nile cultures and aimed to strengthen unity, visibility, and community development.
BakigaNation staged the Rukundo Egumeho – Nohiri Yeitu Kikiga Christmas Festival in Kampala, drawing large crowds to celebrate Kigezi culture. The event featured traditional music, dance, food, storytelling, and performances by cultural artists and guest musician Sheebah Karungi. Held at Millennium Grounds in Kololo, the festival marked the Bakiga Nation’s 10th anniversary, with Pilsner Lager supporting the celebrations through a cultural village and tasting experience.
