Worldcoin has deleted all biometric data collected from Kenyan citizens following a High Court order that found its data practices unlawful. The Office of the Data Protection Commissioner confirmed the erasure of iris scans gathered during the project’s 2023 rollout. The ruling held Tools for Humanity in breach of Kenya’s data protection requirements, reinforcing regulatory scrutiny over biometric data use and digital identity projects.
