Two hundred and fifty young people in Dagoretti North graduated from a digital skills programme delivered through the DigiTruck Digital Literacy Initiative, strengthening access to ICT skills, online safety, and digital innovation. The programme, implemented by Huawei Technologies, uses a mobile, solar-powered classroom to reach underserved communities. Speaking at the ceremony, Dagoretti North MP Beatrice Elachi said the initiative equips youth to access jobs, entrepreneurship, and opportunities in the digital economy.
Kenya’s State Department for Lands and Physical Planning has rolled out a fully digital stamp duty processing system, replacing manual procedures with electronic assessments and payments. The National Stamp Duty Module, integrated into the Ardhisasa land information system and linked to e-Citizen via ArdhiPay, is now operational in 36 land registries. Officials say the system improves efficiency, transparency, and accountability while reducing transaction times and curbing malpractice in land administration.
Igembe South MP John Paul Mwirigi said the constituency will equip five ICT hubs with more than 300 computers to build digital skills among young people. Speaking during a bursary exercise at Auki Primary School, he said the hubs will support access to online jobs and digital training. They will also promote tech-driven entrepreneurship. The initiative seeks to expand digital inclusion and position technology as a pathway to employment and innovation.
